So this here is my 200th post. Crazy, right? (My 100th post slipped by without mention sometime in April.) My one-year blogiversary is coming up soon too, on December 6th, so in honor of these momentous occasions, I am giving you, yes YOU, a small gift. (Well, I’m giving one of you a small gift.) This charming little ditty bag, the younger sibling of my backpack, could find it’s way into your hot little hands, just in time for holiday giving — to yourself, to someone else, I’ll leave that up to you. It’s about 9 or 10 inches square, interfaced with flannel so it’s got some nice heft to it.
So here’s the deal, leave a comment on this post and, just to make it interesting for me, in honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow, mention something that you accomplished this year or that you are feeling grateful for. I will randomly choose a winner in one week’s time (December 2). Make sure to enter an email address into the little comment form so I can contact you for your mailing address if you are the lucky winner. Open to everyone worldwide — there is crafty love for all people here at kleio’s belly!
And have a happy day tomorrow, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not!
Edited to add: I will leave this open until 9 pm est on December 2nd.

well – this year i must be most thankful first for my semi-successful return to fulltime freelancing. this is a tough climate for independent writers and editors, but i am making a good showing of it — even though i do sometimes have my trepidation. i am also thankful for continuing to breathe — my yoga practice notwithstanding, sometimes life is hard and cultivating the breathe is the most fruitful and zen thing i can do. finally, i am incredibly blessed by deepened friendships (you know who you are) that have opened a new door to creativity for me. i would not have forayed into spirit collage without you and i thank you for your support and inspiration.

Happy 200th post! So cute – I’d love to win! Well, I accomplished getting into the Graduate program I wanted (and now I’m at the end of my first semester) and I taught myself how to quilt! I’m most thankful for my boyfriend Alex, and all the wonderful people I’ve met this year through both blogging and returning to school.

Hi Mara. The findings I use are basic pin ones with a kind of circular fastening that rolls over them made by a company called beads unlimited. Hope that helps, Karen

I should not be part of the drawing as I am your sister and fortunate to often be the recipient of your beautiful, creative art. But I don’t want to miss the chance to express gratitude! I am so blessed it is hard to narrow it down, big picture I am grateful for this life and everyone that continually agrees to walk the way with me.That every morning I wake up I get to begin again. The accomplishment in the past year is getting into the PTA program and the gratitude that the resources I need to succeed in the program keep appearing just when I need ‘em.

I am grateful for creative and beautiful friends like you.
This year I’ve taken writing more seriously and learned that, like most creative projects, writing has a life and spirit all its own. That said, I’m learning to go with the flow, keep doing it and trust that something will come of it, big or small.

I am thankful for all of the amazing friends I have met out here in cyberland. Over the years they have become like family to me.
I am also happy that I learned to embroider this year. I just love it and find it so calming.

Am I too late?? Hope not!
At this moment, I’m thankful for this quote: “Whenever we need to make a very important decision, it is best to trust to impulse, to passion, because reason usually tries to remove us from our dream, saying that the time is not yet right. Reason is afraid of defeat, but intuition enjoys life and its challenges.” – Paulo Coelho
Those words just helped me through this afternoon. Courage and intuition–these are the things for which I am thankful.

What a lovely blog! I am most grateful at this moment, for a quote I read the other day. (I am not sure where I saw it, so if you have seen it, please let me know where. I’d like to give credit where credit is due..)Any way, the quote went something like this “Do not stress. You are blessed.”
I needed that. I have been stressing over silly things. It helped me to stop and think about how truly blessed I am.
